Give Yourself Time

The life cycle of an Atlas Moth is, within itself, a miracle.  Consider the following:
  • eggs take 10 to 14 days to hatch,
  • caterpillars eat for 35 to 45 days,
  • pupa develop around 21 day, and
  • moths live for 5 to 7 days.
The Caterpillar undergoes ten weeks of preparation and change for one week of flying . . . meaning the Atlas Moth spends 90% of its life earning its wings.

One of its choices to eat from is the Tree of Heaven, and it spends the greatest portion of its life eating.  The nourishment obtained during this time frame sustains it both through transformation and flight (they don’t eat during this time).

We are born and nourished, we change and grow, we learn to fly.  Transformation does not happen overnight.  It takes time.

My favorite go-to reference book for studying animal symbology is “Animal Speak” by Ted Andrews.  I have added a link below for you, if you’d like to get your own copy.  If you use this link to make your purchase, as an Amazon Associate I will receive a small commission.  Links like the one below help support my blogging efforts.

Thank you in advance 🍃
